Subject: British 40 minute/10 minute Treaty

If I'm limited to a level 40 HC and am useing Brits in both of the above type games, what should my deck look like, and what should I do in overall play near/after the 4th age sides' spaming rockets and muskets and hussars?

Is the advanced church good at all? I really don't know what a brit deck should look like.

I'm not a total beginner, but I just don't know if I'm overlooking something in the deck, and the direct counters like goons and pikes and such.

I also didn't ask what civ to use did I... For all you know I could be very good with the ottos, but trying out a newer civ... and ports are ok.

For the matter of the Advanced Church, are any of the Advanced Buildings all that great?

This works well on 20-40 minute treaties.

    Fast Manor Boom

Always my British Strategy if I am playing treaty as the British.

If your playing a treaty game as the British, you will probably have the best economy if you can get all 99 settlers as fast as you can.  If you do it right you can have 99 settlers by 19:30-22:00 minutes and have the rest of the time to gather resources.

    Basically:

You need the Team Fast Building Houses Cards

All Settler Cards Except for the Fortress Age Card

The Card that allows you to train Villagers out of your Manor Houses.

The Discovery Age is the most crucial part of this Strategy.

    AGE I:

All Villagers on Crates after crates are depleted one villager on wood and the rest on food.  Create a steady stream of villagers onto wood.  Build houses and put the villagers you receive on wood.  Send Team fast building houses first.  Continue Streaming Villagers onto wood until you have 20 houses.

After this you can manage your own villagers, just keep streaming them from your Town Centers and eventually your houses.

Hope this helps you get started on managing the British.

The Advanced Church, is useful in many cases.  To get the Black Watch and such.  I would probably include the card in my deck.
