    Subject: China FF?

Right, Ive played the Spain FF for a while, and its pretty good imo, but Ive lost 7 times in a row now, so I want to try something different. I like FFs, so I thought id try out China. Presumably this is different to FFing with Spain, so any tips on what shipments and stats I should have? Heres my deck...

Age 1: Northern Refugees, Boxer Rebellion, Exotic Hardwoods, Food Silos

Age 2: 700 Wood, 700 Coin, 8 Chu Ko Nus, 7 Steppe Riders, Banner School, Diplomatic Intrigue, Sustainable Agriculture, Spice Trade

Age 3: 10 Arquebuisers, 11 Changdaos, Territorial Combat, Double Faced Armor, 5 Meteor Hammers, Iron Cap Prince's Army, 7 Hand Mortars, Acupuncture, Refrigeration, 9 Manchus

Age 4: 18 Changdaos, 11 Hand Mortars, Ever Victorious Army

Is this good? If not, what cards should I use instead? In 10 minutes, I managed to get 19 Changdaos, 9 Arquebuisers, with 5 Meteor Hammers on the way, and a 30 villie eco.

That is terrible for 10 minutes. I can have an army of over 50 infantry or 30 cavalry with 2 flamethrowers. The basic card order is northern refugees then 700 coin in order to get u to fortress. After that any soldier cards are good. age to the 2nd age with the porcelian tower and age 3 with whatever gives you 8 arquebuisers. as far as settlers you can mess around with it but remember that armies cost about 300 food and coin. Try this strategy.

Lol, thats exactly what was doing... except for the wonder advice, I chose the 6 villie one for a better eco to support it with, but now Ill choose the one with 8 Arquebuisers. Thanks!

plz don't ff in this version, cause u'll lose..

try simiFF (only do this if the enemy isn't a strong rushing civ)

send 300food as ur first card, but if there is a wood treasure near by, get it and let 2 villagers lumber until u have enough to build a second village, send nothern refugees if so, everyone should be on huntables

build the resource trickle tower wonder, or summer palace if the enemy is good at rush, send 4 villagers to build the wonder and 4~5 villagers to lumber

build war acadamy as soon as you reach colonel age, train 3 rounds of standard army (old han if the enemy is getting a lot of cav), send 700w/700f/8ckn/7steppe rider-700coin-9pikes/300export

age with tower/summer palace/confucian acadamy, raid the enemy while aging

upgrade steppe riders and CKNs as soon as you age, get 5skirm+3dopple from russian alies, train standard army/territorial army

send 13 CKN/10 arquebusiers/5 meteor hammer/11changdao, depends on enemy unit

by 10 mins you should have about 31 CKN, 19 steppe rider, 5skirm, 3 dopple, 11 changdao, and 8 arquebusiers

Ok, Ive taken ur advice, and Ive changed my deck to suit a Semi FF instead. Is this better?

Age 1: Northern Refugees, 300 Food, Exotic Hardwoods, Food Silos.

Age 2: 700 Food, 700 Wood, 700 Coin, 8 Chu Ko Nus, 9 Qiangs, 7 Steppe Riders, Banner School, Diplomatic Intrigue.

Age 3: 10 Arquebuisers, 11 Chandaos, Teritorial Combat, Double Faced Armor, Beiyang Army, 5 Meteor Hammers, 7 Hand Mortars, Acupuncture, Refrigeration, 9 Manchus.

Age 4: 11 Hand Mortars, Emperors Army.

    Is this any better?

possible against some civs, i even won against russia as china with an FF :\

o and always age to age2 with summer palace.

matt always put chuko nu and qiang upgrade in age4 in ur deck that improves their HP and attack 100% while only increasing cost 50% (or is that emperor's army). also upgrade cards in age2 can come in handy.

Actually, yeah thats a good point. With the Porcelain Tower it takes about 2 mins to recover the food that I would have more or less instantly from the Summer Palace crates, and I get troops that can supplement my military. So my wonders in order should be...

Summer Palace -> Confucian Academy -> Temple of Heaven -> Porcelain Tower.

    Any more tips?
