A follow up on Milo's post. Make sure your navy shipment flag is away from the coast before you send warships. I had a game on California where my HC flag was touching land (Spawned there from the start of the game) and I only received 2 of the 3 privateers.

Left click on the flag to select it and then right click on a piece of water to place it.

If you're letting him get killed by enemy explorers, you're either taking him too far from your base or using him too late in the first age. If you take him JUST as the game starts and walk him around a bit (just around the outside of your town) and find your second hunting (which on most maps is just on the outside of your town) you'll be safe from enemy explorers (because they won't be there that early in the game) and you can always retreat into your town and force him to run away from TC fire. That said, if it's not working for you, you shouldn't do it. I like to do it because when I do I don't have to send my War Chief all around every side of my base just to look for hunting: I can send him in one direction and go creeping and find out a couple things with my travois too. =)

Hey milo! first of all thank you very much. Fun to watch and very understandable! if possible more examples and replays would be amazing but not nessacary since this is so good.
2nd:
Is the Travios making dance a good choice or is it better just to chop wood with those villies?
3rd:
healers any worth getting from dance?

Thanks for the kind words, Michael. First, the travois dance is awesome. As Iro you should never actually build a plantation or farm with villagers, always use the travois dance. Before the patch, any building that was higher than 200 wood (I think) was not worth building if you could dance for it. Now, I'm not so sure about that number, but I wouldn't use travois for houses, markets, docks, or stables (after you use your first travois), but definitely use it for other buildings! I don't think that healers are worth getting, no. It might be useful in some circumstances if you wanted to heal up your War Chief, but otherwise Iro just doesn't have enough high hp units to justify using healers, in my experience. bloodbath, I would say no to a FF against Spain, at least most of the time. The problem is that if you do that they can FF too. When they FF they can get the 2 falc card and plenty of units to protect it, which gives Iro a ton of problems. Instead I suggest you got at him in Colonial. Get a good early mix of infantry and push him. I would do the big button tomas as soon as I aged, send 7 aenna, train five more tomas and then go to his base. Only build kanyas if he starts going heavy xbow, but stick with an infantry army early.

Imo, one should dance for Warhuts, Foundries, Plantations (110% sure on that one) and farms. Anything costly. Could save you a ton of ressources.
I want to play Iro all of a sudden.

I played an Iro guy the other day and he almost pwned me. But he destroyed my base, yet 50 of my villies (i was British) escaped at the 10 min mark. Then I just did muskets and won. He kept doing Aennas up until I nwas Imperial, and my Redcoats could kill the easy. Then I tr | | |
