    Okay...Rush game vs. Ottomans, i am the Japanese

     

    He has a   janissary and Abus Gun Rush and some hussars

     

    Best option?

     

     I was thinking I send my Yabusame to deal with his abus, my Muskteers for his Jan. and my Samurai for his Hussars...

     

    What do you think?

    Well, Yabusame are a no show until Age 3, at which point he will have beaten u if u try to FF. My advice is to go Ashigarus and Naginata Riders instead. Nags will kill the Abus Guns, whilst Ashis can sort out everythin else. Although Yumis and some Yamabushi would also work well.

    Okay.

    Last 2 rushes I got to colonial with 4 Cherry Orchard collecotrs, 4 gold miners, 2 wood cutters, made 3 shrines and when I advanced got  militray rickshaw and a samurai.  Then I made 2 Jap. Muskets got my two 3 samurai shipments and made 4/5 more Samurai then attacked and took out their villages both times with ease.

    Does anyone have the stats for smaurai?

    Well, I could use my long range infantry, say 4 of those, then 4 muskets, and 7 samurai?

    Muskets against Janissaries

    Longe Range Infantry against abus

    and Seven Samurai (get it) against the hussars?

    One thing to remember about the Abus Gun as that it can kill most types of infantry easily, even Ranged Infantry coz it has Ranged Resist and a still killer attack despite the small nerf. However, these are extremely vulnerable to cav, so Naginatas are great against the Abus, and then u just sort everything else out with Ashis.

    Also, Ive got some general tips about the Japs, which should help u a lot.

    • By the time ur ready to advance, u should have about 14 villies (16 if u send the 2 villagers card). Any less and u wont be able to train troops fast enough. Build the Torii Gates for the free military rickshaw, and use this to build a stable. Whilst u advance, put all villies on wood, so u have enough to build a barracks once u advance.
    • Once in the colonial age, put 8-10 villies on food and 4-8 on coin. This should allow u to make an extra villie or two, whilst providing the resources needed for Ashigarus and Naginata Riders. Once u have about 5 shrines (with ur four shrines card), set them all to wood for extra shrines or other important buildings.

    really pointless to make nagis early vs otto.ashi ,yumi combo does well with main focus on yumis and ashis incase he goes cav.yumis own abus and jans with realitive ease especially early on as you can out mass him

    Well, ur a captain and Ive played them 10 times, so ur probably right... Besides. Nags only really counter Abus Guns, which can counter Ashis but arent cost effective against Yumis.
