What kind of units should i buy.

    sepoys, sowars, gurkas?

    what are the best?

Generally, I think sowars are the worst, as cost effectively they are worse against infatry than most other cav. Sepoys are good, and so are gurkhas, but its quite hard to manage an economy to get both at once.

Thank you for that. Ever one is always talking about how India's rush is so amazing, but I think that your way would work just as well or better. I'm going to try it out. Good Advice. One thing that I want to ask you guys is when you get the two wood trickle cards they add together right? I would think so, but I just wanted to be sure. i wouldn't want to wast one of my shipments (sorry, I'm a little bit of a noob) All of this is really helpful. thank you

    Josher:

First things first, sepoy rush is only for beginners in my opinion, most average players make counter infantry, which kill sepoy, you lose.

India is NOT a rush civ

Inda is actually a "let your opponent kill himself, while you boom" civ. Some of the advice given here is helpful (wood trickle is the 1st card, build agra fort). But there is some other things that will help.

In the beginning this is how you set up your vills for a good eco and good age time. At start, send 3 to trees immediately, the other 3 grab a wood crate. Once you have enough wood for a villager (100) put 2 of the villagers who are gathering crates on trees, but use one of them to also build a house for you. Leave one villager gathering the rest of the crates and after the crates are gathered send that vill on trees/wood. You will want to put all the villagers you make on hunt/food. You will continue making vills past that other strat (10) and you will have a better eco and about the same age time (maybe even faster). The trick in getting the fast age time is this: Once you have 800 food, you put 8 villagers, those who were on hunt/food to begin with on building your Agra fort, which is right by your base, so you aren't wasting time with walking very far at all.

I'm only going to summarize this next part. Keep the 6 vills on wood at all times, you will be able to make a house when you need to and to make vills. For the rest keep the food and gold ratio 1:1. Lastly, make gurkha as your first unit in the game to kill an opponent's rush, but mix in some sepoy. 5 sepoy/4 sowar are good cards to use right after age. Follow those up with the 2nd wood trickle card as well.

This is a stupid post. Sure you're gonna age just as fast but you won't even have an eco to start building units right away. You age in a minute with 8 building but it doesn't do your eco any good either. This probably worst than doing the 10/10. I'm positive you won't even age as fast as the 10/10 either.

Also both wood trickle cards DO add up. So they are probably 2 must haves for india.

i pretty much formulated the 10/10 strategy and made a 12/12 strategy which gives me a better control on my economy and military spending.

very effective, suitable for team games.

It adds a small trickle to food if you have camels built and a small trickle to wood if you have any. Not sure the exact amount each one gives. i think it's like .10 per second per camel. I don't remember. I have to check again.

Here is a card list info. I think it's according to 1.00 though.
