Hi, my freind uninstalled Age Of Empires 3 and has been trying to install it, but for some reason alls it says is uninstall, and play.  When he clicks play, he gets an error saying the system cannot find the AoE folder. When he clicks uninstall, he gets another error and it doesen't work.Theres no Aoe files or anything, he deleted them all, and it's completly removed, so how can he fix this error and reinstall it? Thanks.

Try the following:

• First, uninstall all versions of the game that you have installed (if any) including trial versions...
• Then, download and then run the Microsoft Windows Installer application installation and configuration service updater…
• Note: The file you will download there is named: WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe
• Then, after that installation concludes, download and then run the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility
• Note: The file you will download there is named: msicuu2.exe
• After installing, first click the "Windows Install Clean Up" shortcut, then select the game you are having trouble installing/uninstalling/reinstalling (either "Age of Empires III" or "Age of Empires III - The War Chiefs"), then click "Remove"...
• After you complete the above, temporarily disable any/all anti-virus/firewall/anti-spyware software running on your system, then try to reinstall...

Yeahh he tried that and Age Of Empires 3 doesen't appear on the list...

Make sure that there are no Age of Empires III files in either of these directories:

Program Files / Microsoft Games /Age of Empires III
My Documents / My Games / Age of Empires III

If there are, delete all of them and try to install again.

He checked. Nothing in either.

Any other ideas?
