    Subject: Old player returning to Age III, what did I miss?
    Well, I haven't played AoE since Company of Heroes came out nearly two years ago. It has been a very long time since I played. I used to be very good at Russians and Dutch. I know now with all the patches that hit combined with me being absent from playing so long I am going to suck pretty badly. What are the main things that have changed over the past year and a half to two yearsish? I would especially like to know what has changed with the Russians and the Dutch, what kind of buffs and nerfs have they recieved, as well as anything extremely notable with any of the other factions. Thank you to all who reply!

    Well i do not use russians yet i know that their forts take a longer time to build than before. Troop training speeds got nerfed and well the rest of the stats can be checked out on the ES website. It lists all the nerfs and boosts it gave out.

    Dutch are one of the top 3 civs now, but most civ's are pretty equal now.

    Russia is still good at rushing, but I haven't played for 2 years so I can't tell you what has changed entirely.

    Yes, I guess the major changes have hit the Germans. Doppels were nerfed big time.

    dutch bank xp bounty is halved, hindering thier boom somewhat although using south sea bubble as second shipment works to give me 1400 wood, enough for  all early banks, and with bank wagon can have 4 banks around 6:00 - 6:30.

     

    oh and grunt still pwns everyone.
