Los:there is no where else that tells u how to revolt except here so plz help
Like Soldier said, you need to be in the 4th age with a European civ. Also keep in mind that you can't revolt in DM games. =)

You have to be a European civilization, and you must be at age 4.

you cannot get 10 irconcalds... also, how is artillery defeated by infantry? regularly, artillery (besides culverin) rips infantry apart. and if his shores are lined with forts, youre attacking too late.
jack: cool dude: fudging noobs 3 vils just makes my otto's villie cap fill up faster

Re: How do I stop a revolution?
to rovolt. - do not play deathmatch or start a game in imperial age.
- play as a european civ (different european civ get different advantages)
- age to industrial age
- have 1000 food, 1000 coin & 1000 wood
- select the town center
- beside the button to age to imperial, look right.
- there is a button which looks like hands sticking up in the air
- click it
- 2 options will pop up on ur screen lyk the one u see when u age
- read the discription of each option
- decide which option u prefer
- click on that option
- finally, click "accept"
- in a few seconds, u will revolt.
- you can tell once u cant built any settlers.

Re: How do I stop a revolution?
Strategy "Anti-revolution": Each second past for the revolted = 1 Second more of penalty
Because you have an economy, and he dosen't, the longer you survive, the more units you'll get. It won't be true for him.
Unless you're against a Dutch, who has banks left, or an Otto, who'll get free militia, you should win by staling. You need water control to stop any fishing boats to operate. Noter that Iron clads suck, Pivateers and Frigates are waaay better.
Now, since all the Revolted has to fuel his army are shipments and Factories. By burning his Factories, you almost won, since shipments will run out very quick, and if he wants 4-8 Gattlings, + 1 Fort, maybe 2 Ironclads, he'll have no more shipments left.
So usually, the first attack is the last. He has the Revolting bonus + already existing units + former settlers + shipped in units. So if you can hold that off, the next few attacks will be pathetic.
Nice units:
-Culverin 1-hit destroy up to 2 Gattlings
-Falconet kills 3-4 militia and hurts at least 7 more in a shot
-Mortar/petard demolishes the factories/banks
-Light infantry (real LI) kills militia;
so massed skirms and culverins will mostly demolish the attack. Notice also that they can't have cavalry. Thus, your canon is safe after 1st wave is gone. Spam tons of canon for the win

Re: How do I stop a revolution?
Do NOT send cav at his militia...militia counters cav at range and in meele Ottos do not get free militia from their TC Beware on water maps he can still make fishing boats Try to find his artiliary foundry and destroy it and then span cannon and muskets
