It would be nice to see the advanced formations from Age 2 incorporated into this game along with some new ones e.g. echelon, right flank, left flank, pincer. The formations in Age 3 are quite lacking and this game would be a lot more interesting if you could use formations to your advantage like in Age 2.

but you can do it with some micro(that is basically what separates great from averarge players)

errm, aren't there any formations in the game? i heard that you can for example make 2 phalanxes(no, ot the unit) of infantry, so that cannons won't annihilate them that fast
