Jack the IV:Yeah, there's this awesome game I know of. It has all the basics you're looking for like collection coin, wood, food, etc it also has beautiful graphics, clear, distinct sound, is multiplayer, and will provide you with more entertainment than any game you've played before. ... ... It's called *** LIFE.
I'm confused. I don't ever remember this game having any raw resource collection. The graphics weren't that great either.

Machina:
Does anyone know of any other good games out there, maybe not as perfect as AOE is.. but that has the same resource system as AOE?
You know like, collecting coin, wood, food, etc.
I just bought Command and Conquer and I wasn't that interested in it because of the weird resource system they had.. I found it too easy. I like to get my resources up, it makes me feel good.
Also, does anyone know of any other good games that have pretty landscapes and a good resource system? Lol. I've noticed Command and Conquer has scattered buildings and AOE it's more village-esque.
If you all could help me out, I'd be greatful. Nothing previous to the year 2004 though probably. I can hardly tell what kind of resource system any of the RTS games I've looked up has.
Thanks, Machina
Warcraft 3 reign of chaos and frozen throne (expansion pack)
Its 2003 I think but the only difference is that you dont have to collect food.
Just a belgian passing...
