Re: Age of Mythology II: War of the Gods
GeneralN20:Central American military technology was more advanced than South American, that's a fact. Inca and their neighbors had terrible military technology, so it was like two monkeys throwing poop at each other, haha.
WTF?? The Incas had a bunch of technologically advanced neighbors. Why don't you look up the information and stop making yourself look like an idiot? Among the many neighbors the Incas had to deal with, the main powerhouses include: -Chimor -Aymara -Chanca -Mapuche -Chachapoya -Nazca All of them were originally much stronger than the Inca, whom out of good leaders and improved military tactics took to war and conquered these kingdoms. The Incas didn't always win, such as with the Mapuche, and their might in South America was constantly challenged and matched by several other strong kingdoms. Yet, the Incas somehow managed to get out of terrible situations with the upper-hand. And lol, I seriously don't see how you can claim the Meso-American tribes were stronger than the South American Kingdoms.
"Powerhouses" haha you must be joking. Funny, I read that the technology of the Inca neighbors outmatched the Inca. Oh and who did the Aztec fight? naked men with sticks? That's what you make it seem like. Look at Inca battledress and weaponry, it doesn't match up to Mesoamerican. So there for, once again...monkeys throwing poop at each other.

Re: Age of Mythology II: War of the Gods
Yo Jaguar and the other guy can we get this back to topic?
To the thread starter i really like your ideas but there are some things i would like to say:
Do not add romans (lol what a deep commentary)
Don't make a game with 3 expansions, that will get us to have to wait more time and if we want all we'll expend more money, better make it all in a single game.
Add the hitites and babylons, their mythology was great too (c'mon look at their daemons christians copied them cuz they were scary), also add nubians they were a great civ too.

You're probably right. The Romans did have quite a lot of ideas taken from the Greeks.
This would be up to Ensemble Studios, though. Maybe they can imagine some way to make them distinct.

I don't think that would be possible. Specially with ES's strange policy of only making a few amount of civilizations per game.
Seriously, ES reminds me of those really old games where there were only 2 options to make for something (or at times just 1). IMO, ES should make more than just 3 civilizations per game in AoM.

Three civs are fine for games like Age of Mythology because each civ was divided into three separate factions, each worshipping a different major god. Each major god faction had unique units and bonuses, just like the AoE civs. If you take it that way, it was like AoM had 9 civs and with The Titans expansion, 12! So AoM worked out just fine the way it did.
