i have never played on the internet vs. other people before, and now i want to....

so i went into vanilla and clcked multi-player etc etc...but it said "lost connection to eso"

i do get an error message before the game starts up, it doesn't affect playing against the computer but heres what it says:

"cannot create log file. ensure that you have full rights in the directory where age of empires III resides, and that you have available disk space.\n error: the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process." 

lol i always thought, you played online.

but yeah try reinstalling the game. or make sure you have a good internet connection .

about this error message.

 it usually happens when u try to start the game  twice.

 i mean when u double click the game icon twice.

just be patient and and double click the game icon once.

and yes this error has nothing to do with your multiplayer connection.

check out your firewall settings.

but yeah.Am a noob since, i have a life and don't sit on my @$$ all day. and keep playing until am a major. i never play. i maybe played over 200 games, 250 tops. How much time a week do you play this game?? b/c for me. i believe it's like 1 or 2.
