use uhlans and cannons against skirms if he comes with ruyters, use skirms and dopples vs halbs use skirms and cannons it's a matter of doing the right counter

hmm, i'm a german player myself, and my best advice is to use artillery. 5 cannons can help alot vs any infantry, and if u mix cannons with war wagons, you're good to go. fully upgraded war wagons (with cards) easily beat skirmishers. also, i ussually leave an extra 20 population space for military, but fully upgraded settler wagons makes up for this.
if u play NR, put 20 settler wagons on gold, 40 settlers on mills with full economy upgrades.
if u play no rules, go with a xbow rush and for 1st 2 military cards, send the uhlans cuz dutch dont get ryters in age 2 :)

Don't play no rush. Play deathmatch. It skips the boring part.

yesturday i played a 3v3 no rush40. i was dutch, and i was getting double teamed by ottoman and german. i easily fought them back, and although wasn't able to break the germans wall, my allys broke through on the other side of the map and we won.
i do think germany's biggest weakness against them is the extra 50 open population of the dutch. the only times i got beet back to my wall was when i had to counter a few different units. try mixing uhlans with skirms, and maby war wagons and dopps. also, cannons help ALOT. a few falconets can give you the edge in any game.
also my dutch economy was weaker than i thought it should be. whenever i had to pump out a bunch of units if the other team was beating me back, my eco drained fairly quick. i suggest out booming him and he will eventually have no recorces.

 inderpendence:Ive been playing with germany fine winning most games i play except up against dutch i just cant beat them as they have huge armies and just kill everything i send, like if i build 50 skirmishers they counter attack with 100 skirmishers i just cant win anyone got a strategy to beat them ??

Recently, veteran player PARFAIT had uploaded a vod on RTSprofessional.com .Its a strategy for germans against dutch and is called "crossbow contain". Its a very difficult strategy to expertise but it should help you out. I hope the vod is still there.
