japan can probably break in faster + defend an oprich rush at the same time.

not true.. russia make mortars faster + opricks break down walls faster than any jap unit except maybe sam, but OPs train faster so that compensates. And russian players often have a lot more walls than jap players, and with russia its easy to have map control with faster walling, quick rax making, forts..

Eventually rus has the advantage, its all in the training times.. rus has the counter advantage, which is maximised by instant units, and cheap units. 

^^ you are wrong, Japan make mortors faster with Shogun, Japan can make 10 mortors each batch but Russian can only make 5. Japan mortors + samurais get in much faster than russian. Japan have more pop space than russian so Japan can use half of the pop space to defend. Russian have to bring villes forward to build art foundry to make mortors (unless you are stupid enough to bring your mortors up from your own base), but Japan can make from shogun. Russian only have instant infantry + cav, but Japan have fast artilery so Russian does not have th edge of counter. Fast flamming arrows coming out from shogun counter all your russian units. I dont know why you keep saying Russian can beat Japan easily, So many good players know Japan >>> Russian 1v1.

Japan does have alot of great units plus consolate with dutch first in early game you already start with a good eco right there and a aresenal of improvements that will make your units really strong and lets not forget the wonders such as golden pavilion, shogunate, tori gate, and the toshogu shrine these wonders used in any ordere you like will make japan a force hard to beat pluse when you use isloation in consloate to even make the units stronger so even though i like Russia to play as sometimes but i have to say japan will win.

even if u take out the diamyo it will be hard for russsia u still amke 10 units at a time ur castle will still make 10 motars it will just be tuff samurai will **** all ur units ashigarus also

o yea and japan is not at all bad at defending thier units r just soo powerfull hand down thier yumi archers ahve a *** load of range soo yumis with fire arrows behind walls is a bad defense? also super range motars? come on guys think about it

Well said Adem, all Japan have to do is to have 7+ walls and lots of barracks and castles inside base,

Its not very pratical and it could take some time but culiverins can do the job they have great range and can reach them from behind your walls.
