I find it ironic that no one knows what irony is... or is that just an inconsistency?
*sigh* Historically, Ranged cavalry didn't counter hand cavalry. Ruyters replaced lances with pistols utilizing the caricole tactic to shock pikemen and then they would ride down RI with swords.
The purpose of a lance is to outrange a pike. Sowar/Mahout/Naginata make no sense...

Anyhow, some may notice that while a field gun and a culverin fire the same size cannonballs, the culverin does nothing vs infantry.
