Spahi FF with silk road eco
here is my version of the well known spahi FF
Cards needed: 3 vills, 700 gold, 700 wood, 5 spahi, silk road
Cards recommeded: 1000 wood, 5 mamelukes, 5 hussars, 8 jan, 2 falc, both factories, 2 great bombards, 1000 gold, 3 spahi
Age 1: Do the standard age 1, with shipping 3 vills. Make 1 trade post and houses with the remaining wood. Go for treasures with explorer, especially gold treasures. Age up when you have 800 food with the quartermaster(400 wood)
Transition: put 3-4 vills on gold so that you'll have 300 gold shortly after hitting age 2. When you have 300 gold, switch them back to food.
Age 2: Make another trade post. Then make a barracks with the remaining 200 wood(50 from the crates in age 1 and 150 left from the age up crates). Ship 700 gold ASAP, keep everyone on food. When the gold shipment arrives, gather it with as many villies as possible. Age up when you have 1200 food and 1000gold (which should happen just as you finish gathering the gold crates) with either 4 abus or 4 hussars. Ship 700 wood. Use the 700 wood to make 2 houses, upgrade trade route, and make an artillery foundry or a third Trade post. Set stagecoach to whatever resource you need the most. I put 2 stagecoachs on wood. If you have a third, put it on gold. If you have a third TP, put 2 vills on gold and the rest on food. If not put 3-4 on gold. No one on wood. Start making jannies, but make sure they don't interfere with getting 1000 food for age 3.
Age 3: You should reach age 3 at around 7:00-7:30 depending on map/treasures (even sooner if you have better macro than me). Ship 5 spahi immediatly, followed by silk road. Keep making jans.The wood your getting from the trade posts should be more than enough to upgrade jans and then get an art foundry if you don't have one yet. Ship whatever you need from now on and attack.

Mandem:Me and my friend used to do this in team games. He used the Spahi ff with Stradiots, Hussars and Mamelukes, whilst I did Black Watch, 2 falcs and 10 longbows. Very effective.
Wow. I've won many a game with the BWKiC Brit strat. Seeing these two coming at me at the same time would make me poop myself. Sounds like you guys cleaned house. Freakin' Spahi pawnzor fo sho.

I'm not sure you should send silk road before the crates. You'll need to send 700 gold ASAP for a fast fortress time. In my expierence, you'll get 2 shipments in colonial, and when you reach fortress, you'll usually have slightly less than 2 shipments ready, and you'll need to send spahi ASAP, so you can't send wood if you sent silk road after 700 gold. If you ship silk road as the third card instead of 700 wood, when you reach age 3, you'll have 2 TP and a barracks and 20-30 pop space and no stagecoach, compared to 3 TP, barracks, stagecoach, and 40-50 popspace. Silk road affects trade posts, which is the only reason I included it in the strat.
One thing I forgot to mention in the first post is that this can easily be turned into a fish boom. Simply ship schooners sometime in age 3 and make a couple docks. The wood from the silk road TPs should be more than enough to power a fish boom, which could give your eco the extra power up it needs to boom to age 4 and break a deadlock.

Lol i owned someone who was using this strat... I spammed musks and took down 1 tp when I realized he was ff, when he hit fort I had 3 hussars to own his abus that came out of tc, and made a stable and spammed musk/hussar and pwnt his spahi, then his mams, plus all other army he made.
simple musk/hussar beats ottos every time
