So judging by all of your opinions, the sepoys are musket units (yeah I didnt know that either.)

I guess going ff and getting skirms to beat his sepoys then? I'm no good at FFing, unless my opponent doesn't rush me at all (duh!). Usually I have about half of my vills garrisoned and when i hot fort my 6 skirms die fast because they usually have some sort of horses (or lots of skimisher type units)

So in the case of FFing vs india, this is what I would see happening:

I choose to FF

He rushes me while i'm aging with OP musket type units

I get to age 3 (barely) and my skirms get owned by his sowars

I am low on resources and might be housed, with no army

 Obviously I do something wrong whenever I ff.

Don't FF if you know he has Sepoys! Your TC will die in seconds, unless you sent CM. Try being Dutch, if Skirms are the best at countering them. Do a Semi-FF and age with fast age politician and stay alive.

One question, at what time did you attack with your xbows? And did he have 4 Sowar shipment sent?

And besides, Jannies are harder to counter coz they can also build fbs with the right shipment, as can Tomahawks I think with that same shipment. Really Sepoys arent that exceptional, they are only really better than the regular musketeer and possibly the Jannie in terms of combat value and omitting the fact that in an Agra Rush u can only supplement with inf at first, whilst the Ottos do it with Abus, grenadiers or hussars, which makes the otto rush more intimidating than an Indian one.

artillery is exceptional against any type of infantry.  just build lot of horse artiller and falconets if ure euro. if chinese, build flamethrowers. flaming arrows for japanese r very good.

Fail.  Art (apart from flmaethrowers) are not availiable in age 2.

send early skirmishers card.....BAM SEPOY BAM!!!!!!!!!

i have beaten a major french with india.......it was so lame lol........it was unrated though:(

just make skirmishers.....:-)

and raid villies with horses cause indian eco slow early on.

you gotta hit and run with your skirmishers.......even if he got twice your number of sepoys...u can still hit and run him to death.

make few muskets too to counter his sowars
