    If you want to petition, please do so, but don't bother this topic with that, sorry... But I agree it would be nice to have a way to play mods online, however I think that with quite some other great mods around it would be nice if not only KnB could be played online, but there would just be a 'modded game' server.

     And General_II just magnificently explained why we chose that title! Yes

    Here another update, the Main Menu and one of the Submenus for the new pregame UI:

    The text in the 'Choose Civ' submenu is by our civ outline designer Cicero, and briefly explains the Byzantines' kind of warfare.

    Looking good so far. However, your flag for the Byzantines is not the flag of the Byzantines. What you have is the flag of the Eastern Orthodox Church.

    The emblem is used by the Eastern Orthodox Church, but does have a Byzantine origin.The Palaiologoi, or Imperial Emblem, has historically been used by many different groups that have come from the regions east of the Black Sea.

     The Imperial Emblem is generally held to have been adpoted by the Byzantines in the middle of the eleventh century, which fits in quite well with the K&B timeline. The design is tied to a local legend of a giant eagle with two heads.

    This looks cool, I'd buy it lol, so you guys said there would probably be a beta out by Dec. 2008 or early 2009 right?

    Probably, but it all depends on how the content is released.

     For instance, a large beta will mean a later release while a preliminary alpha version would be earlier, but more incomplete.

     

    By the way, we'll be showing off some of the work we've been doing in the next few days.
