    Subject: Messed Up Game

I'm not sure if this would be the topic to do it, but I'm under the impression I've messed up my age games beyond repair. Now, if this isn't legal, I won't do it, but would downloading a trial off of the website, then using a key from my games work to restore it to it's normal state? Or does the trial not work like that...?

If this won't work, I'm open to any ideas that might work. I've tried a completely clean install (No reg keys, any trace left on pc) but it doesn't seem to have done the trick. and this sounds really stupid, but I'm under the impression that the base files on the disks record changes I've made on the pc (IE mod downloads) and as such, whenever I attempt to reinstall, they will keep these unwanted changes. If so..... I'm in big trouble (Completely messed up the art files and a bunch of other stuff...... irrepairable damage essentially. However, I only did this to the pc, not the disk.)

The trail version hosted by many websites only includes the features that come with it, mate. If not, people would be downloading lots of files that are of no use to them. I don't think it can be "restored" to it's normal state if it's a demo.

I mean most demos allow a serial code to be plugged in and they become full versions. Hypothetically, these downloaded versions would be clean and error free, and then when I use the disk, it should reset..... although its a lot of what ifs....
