Was playing a game and my ally made a whole bunch of british grenadiers. seemed unstoppable too. i had ashigarus, my other ally had coyote runners and maces, while the guy mentioned above had a ton of grens. we were ready to attack, and win (the opponent had mostly light infantry) and then my ally deleted his grens by accident. result? he had a terrible eco left with no army and our siege support was ruined

hmm id have to say when i decided to rush a dutch guy using the defensive skirms strat...ouch

that's why i like my early skirms

 

i'd say that mine(s) happened this week, that wasn't my fault,

was when it was rainning(not too much, so i though i could play) and i was Dutch, out ecoing a jap,

but then, everything turns black, on a blackout(that lasted just a few minutes).

later, on the same day, i was dutch, against another jap,

i've beatten him pretty easily, i was just hunting down the vils he hided,

and when i finnaly find the last one... blackout(for some hours, this time)...

i imagine the guys face, when my skirms, ruyters, cannons and lots of stuff, getting close to his last vils, and then, i disconenct... 

after the blackout i check what happened, my PR was barelly afected, but my ELO went from 1700 to 1450 as the two guys i faced, had a very low ELO(1400, i think)

Owww mate..... that sucks, but wtf were you doing fighting a pair of guys wit elos like that? I mean come on someone with that kind of rating must be a lance corp or less, and I know you're much better then lance corp

on TAD, i was sargeant at that time and i found that guys on quick search, and they had a PR like mine, but much lower ELO, that i could just see after the game

and as you can see on my sig, my ELO hasn't recovered yet from that
 

accidentally deleted my own tc while i was ffing

ive also deleted my tc 2 other times, one was in a 3v3 right at the beginning, (we quit b4 2 mins thank god) and one was a french versus french where i had like 40 vills in colonial and he had about the same, and right after i deleted my tc i found his vills hiding on one half of the map and killed a whole bunch, by then he was screwed. 

I was playing this guy once and I completely destroyed him (His score was like 32, mine was 400 something) but he didn't resign (must have had a few villagers+explorer left).

I was looking all around the map for him but I couldn't find him anywhere. I didn't have time to finish the game because I had to leave the computer for guitar lessons. I thought, "This guy will eventually resign" and I made a huge army and set it in my town. When I came back about 45 minutes later I see "You have been defeated" on the screen and my opponents score was like 500. I was so pissed.

I was playing a 2v2 (maybe 3v3) as French.  We had a really good rush strat, and our oppenents seemed to be lagging behind.  My ally was in 2, and I was aging to 2.  He had a really good army all ready and just needed whatever I was supposed to build.  I say I'm almost aged, I age, and what happens?  4 Cows come strolling out of my TC.  I was ticked, because I was counting on 400 wood to double barracks!!!  Needless to say, our army wasn't enough to beat the bad guys, and we were pushed back since I was behind so much.  Effing cows.

I hate rush games that turn into a booming contest, coz although my allies boom I never get into it until very late. It was a 3v3 (Our team was Germans and British, with me Spanish and they were all Japs) and I forgot to boom until very late. By then they were spamming Ashigarus and Flaming Arrows, and I kept training lancers instead of villies! Needless to say, we lost.

Only in very extreme circumstances should you sacrifice villager production for military production, it might pay off in the next couple of minutes but it will scar you for the rest of the game.

 

On topic: I once lost a game on amozonia (have refused to play it from then on) where I spammed pure musks (I was private at the time and sucked) and put them into frigates.  As I tried to land them on the opposing coast they would not eject and my ships were shot down by enemy towers.  Needless to say I never recovered.

 

Edit: I had over 100 musks.
