Dutch Instant Army Strategy
Well here it goes. I call it Industrial Instant Army (IIA for short) this works for 20 min no rush
gather crates. Train 3 villagers build house, send all
villagers to food ( gathering from hunting). 1st card should be exotic
hardwoods/ the cheap mill one. Age up with the quartermaster. During
transition send 5-7 villagers to wood and gather until you have 300
wood. After that is done send them back to food again. Collect the
crates so you have 700 wood. This will help you build 2 banks once you
have the food. Your second card should be 700 wood or the church
special improvements (If you have more than 2 by this time). You then
with the 700 wood build another 2 banks. meanwhile sending all
villagers to food so you are able to keep up with the wood. You should
now have 4 banks near 20 villagers. The food from hunting might be
running out so switch all villagers to wood. With 6 or 7 of your
villagers make them build a mill. The others will move over in groups
of 6 or 7 to build mills also. This will make you have 25 villagers on
5 mills. You will have at least two shipments now and send the 2 extra
banks from separate cards (bank of Rotterdam and the other one I
forget it's name) Age up with Exiled prince. You will then use the tea
trade from the church also making you have 4 extra banks which you will
make with a market using the trading of gold to wood. So now you have
30 villagers on 5 or more mills 8 banks and 10 villagers on wood.
(hopefully) You will then build barracks (5-10) for massive builds of
armies in little time. Age up with guy with 6 skirmishers You will have
6 skirmishers for a little defending off the bat but you need many
walls. Since this is a defensive strategy at the start you will wait
until they attack. Once you see their army use the 30 musketeers from
the church. This is the instant army! The musketeers can defeat almost
anything. Against cannon set them to hand and attack, Calvary same
thing, hand infantry hit and run, ranged infantry set to hand also.
These 30 muskets will give you time to build an army with the barracks
you built earlier. You will have to change what army you build
depending on what you opponent has. You also might want to build a
couple stables to send out rutyers. Hope you like this strategy And good luck!

Joejoeman:why not just create an army and use that improvement as a backup or to bulk up ur army because 30 musketeers alone will most likely be crushed by cannons and his soldiers which if he is a good player will have made a few LI to counter the musketeers....that is if he knows that dutch players can get musketeers through the use of that improvement.....and even if he doesn't he probably has an army attacking which can withstand a small 30 musketeer attack. Btw he might see those guys retreat then return with the counter and a greater force
For this reason you have to build many barracks so you are able to make massive amounts of units to counter your enemies armies. But thanks for the advice! Thanks for the support! Cause this shipment is also very useful against cannon! Which most of the posters have stated.

OMG The Dutch can do so much better than this...
- 10 barracks is pointless and stupid... even 5 is pushing it... 4 is a good number for ur eco at this stage.
- Ruyters and cannons are way better than Musks against cav. For starters, all the Ruyters can shot at once whilst the Musks have to run around whilst the opponent scores kills. Cannons take care of everything else.
- The Dutch dont really need musks at all if u can play them right, the best use of Stadhouders is during an nr40, u have 199/200 pop, and then u send Stadhouders for an extra 30 troops. Even then it doesnt work well, Guard vs Imperial = Dead]
- WTF? Musketeers will never defeat cannon, theyll never even get there, the cannons get x3 vs infantry... wow ur wrong.
- With this kinda eco, either go Imperial and make troops, after a while upgrade them to imperial and kill his less upgraded army, or make tons of Guard and put off Imperial until uve secured the win.
- I would love to see ur build order for cards....
