Re: british muskets
the british musketeers are just like the portuguese ones FU, if u dont use the red thin line upgrade from brits advanced church. the only other difference is that portuguese have to wait till they get to age 4 to upgrade their musketeers from HC..

So that makes Brit ones better.... but an extra 38HP for 0.8 speed really isnt a fair trade...
red thin line only gives 20% HP boost, and -25% speed! its the spanish corset that gives the opposite. 25% hp, -20% speed. but the spanish one only applies to heavy infantry. so +30 hp and -1 speed? not worth it imo

Wow it sucks.... although it also affects longbows 19 extra HP for them isnt worth it either... if it increased resists as well by 25 or 50% then it would be interesting...

Re: british muskets
For Janissaries, why not make the Acemi Oglgan School card give -15% train points with -15% cost instead of just -20% cost? It will fix the training problem late game. I've actually tried this on scenario editor and it was very nice. I bet Britain has one of the most cost effective musks in the game, especially since the musk is one of the best unit types.

My current Scenarios: 1v1OntarioV2 (http://aoe3.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=2213)

Re: british muskets
The British musketeers are good, as far as musketeers go. However, I'm more concerned about the extremely ridiculous strength of Ashigeru musketeers, and the astounding weakness of jannisaries compared to how they should be keeping in mind that ottomans have about half the economy of other civilisations. There must be thousands of topics similar to this, discussing actively something that shouldn't be discussed in comparison to other, more important topics.
Furthermore, I would like to proclaim that there is no sense of truth in the following statement: "5 janissaries can take on 10 musk and only lose one guy" Perhaps if the jannisaries were imperial though...

Re: british muskets
Most people continue to cry out and (correctly) identify many of Japan's units, specifically Ashigarus, as being far too overpowered.
I really do want a solid explanation from *someone* from ES as to why they haven't balanced that out.

Yes, please.
I *think* it's a monkey wearing lederhosen.
