yes it is true that janissarys are actually powerful muskets and cost more resources then the original musket. although im not sure but with upgrades r redcoats better?
dopplesoldners are actually pikemen but fully upgraded and trained men given the rank of a powerful soldier as it is with incredible siege when upgraded and a powerful area damage and attack to tear through any calvalry and most infantry, but can fall to the cassadors able to take down dopplesoldners when behind walls
Doppelsoldners aren't pikemen. In fact, it was their signature weapon combination (The close range Katzbalger and the ungainly Zweihander) that made them adept at breaking up formations of pikemen and other heavy infantry. They're also made effective against cavalry in this game, which is pretty realistic I guess considering how their Zweihanders are practically elongate enough to constitute the defensive characteristics of a polearm.

Yes, please.
I *think* it's a monkey wearing lederhosen.

read the description on doppleosldners in the game it says they originated form pikemen given the rank of a powerful soldier why do you think they have calavalry bonuses and powerful siege?
Doppelsolders were members of the Landsknecht (who fought as mercenary pikemen) but they themselves did not fight as pikemen once they made their choice--they were basically given training with their different armament, and fought in an entirely different fashion.

It's funny you should mention that!

Seriously though, nah. I know a lot about older weapons and warfare; it's just something that kind of accumulated in my mind over time. If we were talking about the modern parts of warfare...I'd have no idea what's goin' on.
