It is with gentle amusement that I observe the inability of some people to see the difference between "spamming" and "massing". Spamming is the continous creation of a unit and blindly sending that unit into combat without the slightest thought into unit counters or micro or anything. Massing, on the other hand is the purposeful concentration of a single unit type into a sizable force to overwhelm the enemy with sheer numbers.

The key difference is that while spamming is often associated with noobs, massing units is a perfectly viable option that many players use. The fine line between these two tactics is often missed.

But in the end, your opponent sees nothing but a huge army bearing down on him, making him forget logic and reasoning and compelling him to insult you in anyway he can. So that is why, after many games won with massing strelets, or Chu ko nus, or Macehualtins, I have been called a spammer.

and soviet russia, especialy soviet russia. now back on topic, yeah i like to mass also. i use russia alot and i mass large armies of strelets to attack one area while i send oprichnicks around the flank.

For your information, the old han army and standard army both come with chu ko nus, so it is inevitable that I have a much larger amount of chu ko nus then the other unit types.

And the difference between massing and spamming is known to everyone, I'm just pointing out the obvious as so many seem to have missed it.
