    1. When I scout what should I be looking for?

    2. More importantly once I know what my opponent is doing how do I adapt to their strat?

look for what buildings they have as it will indicate what type of unit they will train. this will help you to be able to create counters and smush their army. look for what units they already have so you can get appropriate counters. check defenses, like where towers are stationed and that sort of thing. also, if you know how much units cost, look at their villager distribution as it may help you work out what units they are planning to build and what strat they are doing. also look for shipments arriving. like if you see 700 gold arriving, they are probably going to fortress.

Personally I don't get too concerned with getting a counter wrong when I see an otto barracks.

    1. when scouting you should be looking for your next recource gathering point, you should also scout around you enemies base and look out for his wonder (if tad civ) noticing if he is aging up if he is a twc or vanilla civ (you could tell if he switched most of his vills to wood or coin) also try looking for ur enemies forward base (if ur getting rushed).

     2. when ur scouting you should look at his enemies units and counter them (e.g: pikemen counter cavalry) try to look for his weak points.

if u click ur explorer or scout or whoever, jus hold shift and click all the spots u want em to go and they will w/out u watchin... explorin the base works also jus hold shift and go back and forth

mi5 i usually dont change my villies off of food (maybe 3 or 4) but idk how to tell when all the other civs r agin... mayb when their score goes down a bit...
