    Subject: Whats wrong?
    When i try to start up Age of empires 3....a message pops up and says "Only a single copy of the game can run at once! There is another copy of the game already running" but there is not another copy of the game running... then another message pops up saying  "Initialization failed"...whats wrong? I  have not always  experienced this problem  it just has been coming up lately

    Maybe no one knows, wait for a mod to answer it, they usually check technical issues first (lock threads second)

    reboot the computer, it should solve the problem

    if not, press Ctrl+Alt+Del go to the processes tab, and if you find something like "age3", finish the process
