Hi.

I'm gonna buy a laptop, soon. These are the specs:

Intel Core 2 Due 2.2GHz

2GB RAM

ATI HD 2600 512MB Dedicated Graphics Card

How well will I be able to run the game ?

everything looks good except for your graphics card. It is 1/3 as powerful as the one that I use to run AOE at max graphics at a resolution of 1680x1050.

I would guess you will be able to run everything at medium graphics... what is your screen resolution anyway for you laptop?

it's a nice laptop, i'm almost sure it will Max out the game.

my desktop has about the same specs and max the game easily.

the only problem you might have is if the screen resolution is high(like 1680x1050) you won't be able to use high anti aliasing, but from low to high AA there isn't much diference, specially on high-resolutions

i have a 8600gt with 256Mb, it's about the same as a HD2600 with 512Mb and i max the game out on 1280x1024 easily

1280x1024 is the resolution I usually play on.

always use the native resolution of your monitor, it'll make the image quality much better

I have a 8600GTS superclocked 256Mb gfx card. Max's the game fine on 1680x1050 LOVE the screen resolution makes the game look entirely diferent thatn on a 1280x1024.

 My PC has very similar specs to those, only my CPU is a Pentium D.

You will run the game at Max perfectly, I run at 1280x1024 with an ATI HD2600 with (almost) maxed graphics, and it runs perfect. Well, in Vanilla. I don't know, but TWC and maybe TAD seem to have sharper graphics... so maybe you won't have the same performance as in vanilla.

you have to remember tho, that the laptop card is usually weaker than its desktop couterpart, but not by much

if the game doesn't run on max, it'll be very close

The only thing I'm unsure of, about this laptop, is that it has Windows Vista.

I don't want Vista, I want XP. Everybody hates Vista. Vista sucks!

I don't really wanna max it all out!

I just don't want it to lag, and I want the graphics to be at least a little awesome :)
