    Subject: Scrap the deck idea!

Everyone has only 1 DECK for each civ (all the cards they have chosen basically) . I originally (before game release) was under the impression that the home city idea was to reduce SMURFING, but since they limited 1 account / cd key, that was already taken care of.

    Rationale: All Pros -
    a) less time wasted customizing home city and different decks (increasing number of people actually playing who are online)

    b) makes the game more flexible in real time decisions of cards (no more oops I chose the wrong deck at beginning of game and all parties can alter strategy as they go)

    c) opponent deck viewing becomes almost irrelevant (unlike seeing huntables drop through fog of war which is even for all but still seems inappropriate)

    d) you are still rewarded with more cards the more you play - that does not have to change

Then all of the pros would create different home cities for different strats, so this probably wont affect much.

The point is, they don't have to. They would have most cards they want by level 50 anyways. It would just be nice if someone does not have to create more than one deck or home city for land/water/natives/team/wtf when they already have all the cards they want for all possible scenarios anyways.

I already know when I get India HC level 40 I want foreign logging card and a few other choice ones. Why do I have to make different decks with the same damned card only to alter a couple of choice land/water/native/team cards between the decks? It just seems like a stupid waste of time. I just thought of another plus to this as well. A person would not know for sure what specific card idea strats the experts are using - which are clearly posted right now!

No i dont think this a good strategy because wat if u wanna create like 5 ottaman decks and u have only 1 space left damn yuo people dont have any common sense dont yuo think that if yuo wannted to use the same civ but use different rush decks yuo would yuor nooby idead creates crowding in yuor hc box and soon(even if yuo can make unlimited hcs)it will become EXTREMELY hard to find which homecity and which strategie to use and the host will boot yuo for taking to long with everyone else waiting

i didn't like the idea. what they could do is to completely remove HC levels this way you won't need to level them up before starting to play

this way, all homecities would have all cards, politicians and consulate allies unlocked

I see where I did not explain properly. The deck is not limited to 20-25 cards. It is ALL of the cards you have chosen with that civ as you level up. Why have the added complication of having to categorize the *** you have acquired as well?

So basically, ur removing almost everything from the Home City that requires skill? If players could choose from all the cards available then it would be too easy for someone to switch from one strat to another.

Having lots of smaller decks takes more skill imo

    agreed

BTW, if you look at forums like agesanc, some experts didn't like the idea of a 25card deck, they thought it was better when decks had only 20 cards

Yes, that is my point. 50 decks. How much time did you have to waste getting those all set up, and then again when you decide one card in half of those decks is less important than another one and have to edit them again?

it is not skills of the game I question

it is the amount of time wasted on the setup before actually playing (reminds me of some board games)
