I know I'm a wee bit late to the party.  I just purchased both the AOE and AOE Asian Dynasties about a week ago, mostly because (1) reputation of game/Ensemble/Big Huge, (2) no draconian DRM like Securom seems to come out of Microsoft Game Studios.

 Wow these are fun.  Running on a 5.0/5.9 Vista Ultimate installation and the the graphics look just great on my 19" 1440 x 990 widescreen, gameplay and interface slick.  Closest thing to AOE in my experiencw would be the two Company of Heroes games.  The gameplay here is enough different and historical periods so much different I'm going to be enjoying these for years to come.

 Now if I could only find War Chiefs in store around here!

lawal im jsut kidding online were kidna like a big broken up familly,the chat rooms are hilarious,the games are very peaceful,theres currently no hackers whom ive met whove tried to ruin the game for me,the onyl prob is teh noob bashers,....experts come they wip the but of a noob and they move on with the rank of field marshel while making the nob cry sadly
