    Subject: New to AoE3, so all expansions or just one?

    Hello there

    I'm an old AoK player, who finally decided to join the ranks, better late than never, eh? ;)

    So I bought the game and the War Chiefs exp yesterday (still learning).

    What do you guys suggest: should I get TAD too?

    I ask that cause I dont want to be restricted when I'll play online. I guess that I cant play vs let say a japanese-player if I dont have TAD, right?

    true. if u have all the civs, u can play against all who have tad(b/c they have new cards and improvements, etc for euro civs.) so u shud get them all

    I have TAD but if I had not bought the war chiefs I wouldn't have bought it. Since you got TWC though might as well get TAD or you won't get many games.

    Buy all expansions since 90 percent of the servers use the "allow warchiefs civs" which means u need twc to play

    Just buy a different new game. You would pay so much money for AoE3 + TWC +TAD for a game thats 3 years old.

    If it was for 20€ okay, but this would cost you 50€ + which just isnt worth it for a game which is that old.

    Get both xpacks, they really make the game better, although they do introduce a few minor balance issues the diversity is worth the cost.

    Of course you should get TAD, and don't listen to ppl who say the game's old.. It still looks absolutely fine and beautiful.

    I agree. And since it has been out so long the average person has a graphics card that can run the game at maxed out graphics which makes it look awesome.
