when do u ff with spain??
when is it best to ff with spain.
i normal semi ff with spain. i ship 2 xtra towers and then 700 gold ore 700 gold and then 2 towers if i know it will be a slow rush(brit/dutch) but is there civs were i can old a rush with out my towers. all the ffs i see on the forum is with out towers. i just fear that i will get rushed if i dont ship them.
and who should i always inf rush against???

1. NEVER SHIP IN TOWER. It's worth 500 ressources; why not ship in 700 wood instead?
2. Spain FFs civs that dont heavily HI them in colonial: you dont want your TC down before you hit fortress! Examples of civs to FF: british, iros (though theyve got tomas, Lancers own badly their infantry), dutch (u can musk rush him, but dont get caughgt..).
3. Shipment spam rush players who try to naked FF. Exmaple: heavily house port FFers.
4. Spain got its shipments badly nerfed in the last patch... so I dought using them..
5. Try a renegado rush on GP: its fun!

how do u other spain players hit fortress safe.
i also ship 700 wood to get up barack + hoses ore stable. but if u wanna build 2 towers with the 700 wood the 2 towers are 800 wood worth ore 500 wood + 400,5 food. why?? first of all. i waste vill sec on collecting the wood and also lose vill sec on building the towers. i have to use 6 vills in 1.15 min to get my 2 towers up fast enough to take a ealry rush like 10 sepoy ore natives both before 6 min. 75 sec*0,89 (gather rate on food)*6(my vills there gather wood and build towers) and when i ship 2 towers they self build and a up faster. dont know the build time.
+sepoy rush sometimes come faster then i can build with my vills and then they shot 3 vils and i only get 1 tower up. so that also bad. my towers are normal up before rush. and with towers i dont lose vill sec with idle vills in tc. ore not in so long time+ with 3 towers i can protekt my vills better vs raid and can hunt better. i use this vs otto india and russia if i see he rush. not tryed vs others. japan and brit i rush with good succes. could i get save 2 fortress vs brit without towers. and what if he rush me in the min i get into fortress?? how do u other spain players hit fortress??

actually spain can FF in any situation, that's ANY situation. against fast rushes it's much much harder though, going colonial is almost never the best idea, but for players who have trouble FFing against fast rushes, it can turn out better. when FFing, never ever send 2 towers, card order can be 3 vills > ATP > 700g > (700w) > 5 vills > age3 military, or 3 vills > 700g > 700w > age3 military, or 3 vills > 700g > 5 vills > age3 military, or for a strong anti-rush: 3 vills > 700g > 700w > 6 rods > age3 military, or even 3 vills > 700g > 6 rods > age3 military. also, chopping 250 wood for a TP while aging to colonial is almost always a good idea, unless you might get rushed before 6 mins.
the spanish FF can be tough because there are endless possibilities and card orders that are viable, and almost every situation requires improvisation if you want to make the best of it. as you can see spain is a civ that requires a lot of adaptation.
though if you know the basics of defensive play (which, i might add, is a lot harder than agressive play), when to do which BO, when to send which card, when to make dogs and when not to, and when to get minutes out, you're ready to be out-FFing even the fastest of rushes, as long as your timing and micro are good enough.

rushing in mirrors on high levels is not something you want to be doing, maybe against dutch, maybe brits, but never spain. their FF will kill you. though at your skill level (captain is it?) players can't FF that effectively, so you'll probably win by rushing. i played like a noob yesterday (no minutes, no 6 rod shipment, no dogs?), but that was because i underestimated you hence didn't concentrate, against players i know are good, i will play very differently. i beat an indian 10/10 rush the same day, that's 15 sepoy+ both explorers in my base at 5.30 (a lot faster than the spanish rush) but that was because i knew my opponent was good, so i was fully prepared. my point is that you can rush lesser players in mirrors, maybe even majors, but above that you won't stand a chance and you'll just have to FF.

i won as spain against a sepoy rush yesterday, aound 5:30 aswell against a major. using crossbow spam and eventually using missionaries and dragoons to win.

I have a tendency to play better against better opponents, and suck against noobs. I always play way better vs Goodspeed than vs a 2nd Lt.
