Booming with Spain is not a big deal, their eco isn't any good anyways. Focus on learning how to fight with Spain, that will win you the game. I was playing Spain in a 3v3 and I was matched up agaisnt a British player (we were basically fighting 1v1 for a while) who was ranked higher than me and his score was 1200 higher than mine by the end of treaty, I ended up pushing him back into his eco and then my allies came over and ran in. They resigned and my score was still under 2k while the British player's score was over 2700. Another example: Before I player Spain, I played China. I was in a 3v3 and matched up agaisnt a Spain player. His score was about 1600's by the end of treaty. I was at 2200, and I didn't even livestock boom. Anyways, I was fighting him pretty much 1v1 cause my allies were busy, and my score just dropped. There was nothing I could do agaisnt Spain's superior military. That's when I decided to learn how to play Spain. My pr went from like 27 to 32 just playing Spain agaisnt other good players, mostly in 3v3's.
fight it allways more importent than boom. But if yuo can learn to get 1900 on 40 instead of 1600 why not do it then ?

I would rather learn how to fight better than to boom better, since fighting is more important and 100-300 points is not going to win you the game. You should be spending less resources than you are gaining if you are fighting well. If your score is going down, your opponent's score should be going down faster.

Re: Spanish strat.
Spain is incredibly OP in treaty. I have played like 7 games with Spain. I can't seem to lose with them. In one game, we (two 1lts) vs one french 1lt and japs one captain, all our factories were taken out at about 45 minutes because of the OP shogun and lamer being lame. So we went on with minimal arillery, and eventually pushed them back, broke both of their bases, and before we went into their eco, they were already quite very low on resources, while our score were still around 1600-1700 (started at 1800 anyways). We of course won in the end, with a great deal of patience. That was against japs and french and took some effort. When I used spain against other civs, it is like I don't need to do much, enemy just dies, at least after I get a foothold and build walls around my fb.
