well a turtle beats a rush (or at least is more effective agenst a rush) and the dutch are good at turtling so id say the dutch are pretty good agenst ottos. but if you want to be a civ that has a very high chance of overcoming the ottos then be an OP civ (japs, indians, germans...)

well.... i know this isnt any help but, all civs correctly used are good vs the ottos. The ports imo are as effective as other civs agenst the ottos, i would still recommend dutch

spanish imo are a very good civ but im too noob to play as them cose i hear theyre hard to play. a spanish ff is as powerful as an otto ff therefor rendering the otto ff useless. at that point it is a matter of who is the better player

tire the turks out. They rush with jans that build barracks, so if your talking about anti rushing which of course is defending the rush, the key is too defend,. I will go into detail about the strategy.

Turks i find will always have many jans, and heavy artillery.

    - build culverins and falconets and even skirmishers to defend the onslaught.

otto units are expensive so they will eventually begin to tire, this is when u try and make a push forward and attack their base, of course leaving units to defend, its just a case of countering them, with anit infantry and the odd bombard, if they use cavalry, sacrifie your cannon for pikeman, or anti cavalry. Ottoman are very big at the end of the treaty but will tire.

oh and british are effective against otts. British infantry (fully upgraded musketeers including all cards) are the best infantry and are the only infantry an equal sized otto jan army cannot beat. PERIOD.

Brit muskets can also crush archer cavalry or hussars, just make sure u have a few culverins for there artillery.

    Brit eco will outlast ottoman

Comfortably russians. You will outnumber his jans with strelets at least 3 to 1. Then after the first rush is beaten, oprichniks can go to work on his slow spawning villies and damage his eco for good.

ports and dutch can both easily defeat ottos by using a turtle strat.  With Dutch just do a colonial skirmisher spam and ship in pike to take care of his hussar shipment, and if he starts making abus just make a couple of hussars, or go fort and make ruyter.  With Portuguese i do a fast fortress with colonial militia.  If you keep your second tc in range of the first they're combined tc fire will hold back the jans long enough for you to get into fortress age.  Once in fort just get cassadores for his jans and dragoons for any abus or hussars he may use.  I also like to get mamelukes because they are very effective at killing abus guns and raiding, which can really hurt ottos b/c they have such slow spawning villies.

Don't play no rush. Play deathmatch. It skips the boring part.
