When getting cards, try to save shipments and do it in reverse order, as later cards are more "powerful" in terms of gathering rates than early ones. The only early cards I send are the team gather and shrine cards, which with Ports (and Tupi on Orinoco), allows you to get all the shrines out then get on XP to get the other econ cards before changing over to wood for upgrades. I age to II with the big shrine and then wait until III to send the top-level mining and food cards and then food and then paddy cards in reverse order, after which the local mines are usually shot and I begin to send the paddy gold cards in reverse order too.

Here is a breakdown of the econ cards:

    All

    Sumptuary Laws – trickle

    Team Chonindo – 8%

    Reclaimed land – 5%

    Flooded Parcel – 8%

    Terraced Hillsides – 10%

    Gold

    Rum Distillery – 20%

    Cigar roller – 20%

    Textile mill – 25%

Royal mint – 25% (paddy and mines)

    Food

Cherry Blossom Festival – 15% (cherry orchard only)

    Food Silos – 15%

    Sustainable Agriculture – 15%

    Refrigeration – 20%
