wood is essential when playing as the indians. but you probably know that. try reading the agra fort rush, for starters, and take it from there?

    Guess the civ:

This civ doesn't need houses. Still, putting soldiers near their houses make the soldiers better.

That's good, you can get better, however it comes at the cost of sacrificing wood gathering for a massive fur trade.

    I see.

Used India in a real game. Got killed by japs. This civ has serious problems. The longest range is 28. Units train too slowly. And wood is a problem, have to collect crates once in a while. All but 3 units are calvary, kinda nuts.

Units training too slow is the worst problem.

And the Indian consulate sucks. No good upgrades, no good buildings from it. Why does ESO favor Japan so much to give them all good things?

Actually, believe it or no, India is concisdered the 2nd best civ by most people, and the best by some...

But oh well I was talking about supremacy, not treaty...

    And actually...

Longest range is 28... yes but, the civ doesnt needs high range units that much, however, I kinda agree that that range should be improved, siege eles kinda suck.

Most units train too slowly, thats true, but they can get instant elephants by an upgrade at monastery+fast cavalry card. Also, sepoys can build barracks, stables and castles+you will always have the wood since of India's bonus in wood collecting and the 2 wood trickle cards.

"All but 3 units are cavalry", the same happens with sioux, but no one got problems with em, oh and, you can get mercenaries by monastery, and an infinite urumi shipment+mansabdars of Charminar.

You can't beat Japan with India it's really hard too and why their units train so slowly is because most of them are the best cavalry in the game so I hope this helps. O yea I think when you get to a certain home city level you can get a wood trickle I think it was 40 or around that!

                        GOOD LUCK:p

India has a bonus in wood collecting, but they can't research the first 2 market techs at the market. That way their long term wood gathering is equal to that of other civs. Also many treaty players don't send trickle cards because after doing the math, they aren't worth it. Both of them sent it is about 3 wood per second right? Suppose they both gather for 40 min. 3wood*60seconds*40minutes=7200 wood. So 2 cards get you 7-8k wood? There are better cards to send in a treaty game. So basically, India's wood gathers no faster than other civs but they are much more wood dependent. Am I right?

sepoys get killed by samurais and ashis, because there is no real cannons. Well i can get some from consulate, but it takes long time, and requires export, and those consulate cannons are not fully upgraded
    .

Infantry training time is also unbearably long. Without infantry protection, elephants are piles of meat .

I did send the faster elephants card, did all possible upgrades. Sepoys training time is the major problem. Calvary need their protection, but the come way too slowly. No one can fight without infantry' presence.

Calvary requires protection, most often from infantry. Again it comes back to the problem of infantry trains too slow.

A range of 28 makes it so hard to kill artilleries, almost impossible to kill motars protected by anti-calvs.
