    Subject: Tips 'n' Tricks
    I just thought id make this post to teach people things they didnt know. such as those little things that win you the game. please dont try to be funny and post make sure you win or somthing. ok so ill start. as iroqoui dont use the sniping ability on guardians. use it on weak infantry it should kill around 2-3 in 1 shot.

    Strelets are good against cavalry

    Pikemen are good against infantry

    Musketeers are good for destroying ships by the coast.

    Use oprichiniks to kill doppelsoldners easily.

    For Pop-heavy early game civs, such as Germans and Russians, don't forget to build houses! Build them almost as constantly as villagers!

    most people do already kinda know that. but thanks for trying ^^^^^^- unlike those guys.

    i meanty stuff like if your sieging a garrisoned TC with pikes. find the pike the TC is shooting at and put it in cover mode so it can take more damage.

    When playing defensively - if the enemy rushes you, garrison 10 and only 10 vills inside the TC. Make an others run away and chop wood in a safe spot. That's done to maximize villager effectiveness in an attack (provided the enemy doesn't find and kill them).
    Know what's weird? Day by day, nothing seems to change. But pretty soon, everything's different.

    Be sure if you use artillery that you separate them in two groups, so if calvary outflanks you, you will not lose all of your artillery.

      What is best for india?

    I usually go for the consulate as soon as I can afford the first shipment from there.

    IMO, Germany is best with China until industrial where you can briefly switch to Russia to get a factory/fort and then switch back.

    I think isolation is best for Japs, full stop.

    As for India, I'd say the Brits, but Ottos can be used early game to help with scouting and to get those 4 settlers. I guess it depends how much fighting there is and whether or not you're rushing.

    may as well add another trick that I saw on a rec once.

    When on a map with a carib settlement, build a trade post and research the blowgunner ambush party tech. Then get your explorer behind enemy lines (hopefully near some settlers) and train a bunch of them. Instant raiding fun!

    They've nerfed it on nilla, right? Since Garrisoning 5 is the same as 10.

    If you are raiding, try splitting your cav into two groups; you will almost certainly kill more villagers that way and his anti-cav defense will usually only defend against one group, leaving the other still raiding.

    Although this may not work against experts, try to time your raids with your attacks. For example, attack his main body of troops, occasionally players won't notice the raid because the alarm bell is already sounding. It tends to be good value for a few villie killsBig Smile

    Obviously better players will already know this, but it might help somebody somewhere...
