    Subject: Brits and Japs
My friend and I have recently played a bunch of 2vs2 together and we've been doing great. There's just one problem-the Japanese and British civilizations. Now I'm not a complete noob, I've beat both of these civs plenty of times in 1vs1's and 2vs2's, and they weren't complete noobs either. I'm just asking for some definite strats that will usually always own them so I won't have to worry when I'm vsing a team of 1st lieutenants or above(I'm a master sergeant almost 2nd lieutenant). My partner and I use India and Dutch(I know, weird combination but it works), and we sometimes struggle against those annoying longbows and yumis(I know this has been said before but there really needs to be a patch on those things). Were also looking for a way to hurt these 2 op civs' ecos badly so that they can't recover as easily. If you honestly can't think of strats for our civs then feel free suggest some you think might work.(with respective strats of course). Please help!

i wouldn't say theres exactly a specific way to counter either of the civs.  keep in mind their eco is very good.  if you want to beat them you have to outplay them.  keep their economy down with raids or a fast rush.  if you let their eco thrive too long...of course you'll get owned!!!
it really all depends on the map and what they are doing/making.  again, i'd prolly say tht the best thing you could do to win the game is keep their eco down the best you can.  or try a fast rush on one of them.

What I like to do when I am playing in teams against the British, is to rush one of their allies and kill its eco. What happens is that although the British may have an excellent eco,  its ally (ies) will be dying with little military. So, they end up outnumbered. In my opinion Japan is easier to mess up. The Japanese have to gather their food from the cherry orchards. If an army is nearby they cannot go out to harvest cause then you would kill every single vill. So, the Japanese rush them fast and near their base.

Actually, many people (like myself), consider the fact that the japs gather food from cherry orchards to be a good thing. Sure gathering food from berry bushes is slower than gathering from animals, but the jap market has upgrades for that plus if their vills are gathering right next to their tc, this makes the Japanese civ prolly the hardest to raid. Thanks for trying though.
