Subject: Betrayed by my own union....

Today, my union brothers voted to strike by 80%. So that means right now I would be on strike. But sadly and cowardly, my union has told me to work for another two days to allow Boeing to make another offer but Boeing has refused to talk for 1.5 weeks. This sucks and I feel betrayed.

I was preached to by the union for more than a month to strike. They said to reject and strike 3 days ago and we did, but they tell us to strike because the governor of Washington state, who stole the election anyways, says that having us out is too much of a strain on the economy of my state.

I do not plan on working the next 2 days and I will just sit both days and stare at the wall.

Isn't strike a good thing? No work for a few days plus the chance of a better workplace/more pay?

It's not lag, it's reaction time.

Yes, a strike would be better. Days off while being paid by the union and more pay.

No I am not overpaid. I am underpayed. The average Boeing worker only makes $57,000 without overtime.

I dont always sit behind a desk. I usually am lifting heavy parts into machines and then programming the machine to drill, rivet, countersink, counter bore, fasten, etc etc, I read a lot of blue prints and set up programs to make the wing based on the blue print. That can take hours of hard thinking and heavy lifting, and then once the program is confirmed to work on the part, I then let the machine run, and then, I get to sit down and surf the web.

I work more than people in the military do. 19 days on, 2 days off. And those 19 days, I used to work 10 hours but now I changed shifts and so I only work 6.5 but get paid for 8 but still 19 days on, 2 days off.

    Let's see.

$57.000 a year. Divided by 12 = around 4.800 a month. That's way more than enough to live from.

Rule on Capitalism, who wants to share with the poor guys?

LOL welcome to Washington State.  Boeing workers strike every 2-4 years like whiney little bitches.

You realize there are many people in the state that would kill to have your job?

I do agree though Chirstine Gregiore is a cheater, and stole the election.

You have to reread the blueprint for an aircraft you mass-produce? Hmm, must be complicated.
