Got a problem, and I don't know how to fix it.  This just happened.  When I go to play TAD in single player I get this error code:  XS: Error 0003: could not compile file 'aiLoader Standard .xs' .     After I get this I can still open up the game, but, all my computer opponents just stand there doing nothing.   At the same time that this happened, I got another problem.  When I want to train units from buildings, I always clicked on my unit gather flag to where ever I wanted them to go before I started making them.  Now, they all are just created around whatever building I used.  I mean, I can manually send them out to where ever I want them to go, I just cannot preselect a spot for them.   I really could use some help.  I don't know what happened, but I would like to find out how to fix it.                            Thanks,  Bengalwarrior  

That sounds as though something did not get installed correctly.

The first thing I would do is try reinstalling everything.

• Start with an uninstall TAD, then TWC(if you have it), then Age3.
• Reboot.
• Empty your windows temp folder
• Verify you have all the latest windows updates.
• Defragment and error check your Hard drive
• Reboot again and install retail age3
• Then install restail TAD
• Then install the latest Patch for TAD.
  

Thank you for your information, I'll give it a try tomorrow, if I have time.  Right now things are a little hectic around here and playing computer games is not a priority.  Don't know how long it'll take, but I will get back with you with my results.

Back again,

     I was finally able to get enough free time to get some computer work and try the advice you gave.  Did everything to the letter, but I'm sorry to say that the results were the same.  Am open to more advice.

I am by no means an expert, but you could try downloading an AI modpack.

heavengames has one that replaces the ailoaderstandard file with a new one, so that might help:

 If you find this, I hope its of some use... will make the AI more difficult though.
 

Thank You for your advice on downloading that modpack from "Heaven Games".  It corrected my problem and I can now play TAD again.
