While playing on ESO I encountered quite a few players who accused me of being a lamer because I play China as my favorite civ. I always thought China was more or less balanced in the latest patch, but so many players seem to think otherwise. Is China OP? Does HeavenGames and AgeSanc consider China OP?

Your thoughts, please.

i've made a thread about it some time ago.

China is not OP, it's balanced.

but few people still say China is OP, or run from a Chinese player on ESO.

maybe that's because China WAS OP on 1.00

but most of the people who called me a lamer because i was playing China was using it as an excuse because they were playing "balanced" Japan or India

we just need some more time until people forget 1.00

Who reckons China is OP

people who have just lost to china and need an excuse.

Those who think that China are OP are either retards or they are living the days before the 1.01 patch.

China are a very micro dependent civ which makes really hard to use they are also very dependent on treasures + thier age time is always slower than other civs which makes them exposed to early rushes.

I totally agree. Although i've just bought TAD, even I can see they are quite difficult to win with. Ever watch AGE_SANCTUARY's recs? MrMilo played china on maybe half of all his recordings and and lost to a bunch of UP european civs. (though in his defense, he always won vs russia and otto and jap.) So, erm, yeah they are way too slow to age. Without aging with the white pangoda and getting 19 disiples(FF) anymore, i dont see how anyone says they are OP.

So first, China SUCKS, so its not OP. Im not able to play with a civ that cant boom like crazy, and china has no economy!! Once u get raid its a definite GG... 

Oh and, yesterday, I played my first game in 2 months.. Now, we totally outboomed the other team, and had a better military. In the final battle, I called monopoly trade (now, they've got 2 messes to clean up: the TPs and our armies.... thats strategic), and the noob on the other team broke his vains to call us lamers... damit, this is totally strategy, nothing else. And the ironic fact is he was playing japan...

china doesn't suck.

china DOES have an economy.

howcome you can't play with non-booming civs :S

China plays like a spainish/aztec/russian civ with weird units and groups that come out half and half. Their eco isn't as bad as you might think also, constant villy production while shooting out 4 huge 2nd age millitary shipments always gets under the skin of some people, and you can have 7 steepe riders by 6 mins or so, 6:14 in their base or raiding....

I never saw the disiples being op, the only thing I've seen with them is (I didn't have TAD pre 1.01) my monk with 14 disiples with all the monstery upgrades and the white Pata. going at a 50 streetlet army... quite funny, I ended up with 23 disiples and my monk still standing.

China's got a very good economy, a powerful early rush, and an outstanding lategame.

OP? No. But I say China's balanced.
