I had to reformat my computer recently but subsequently came to the realisation that I had no hard copies of any of my CD keys, incl. AOEIII. (When I bought the game the key was stuck to a little paper sleeve which, in my carelessness, I did not keep safe.) Mine is a ligitimate copy of the game so i was wondering if it was possible to recover the CD key, and if so, how. If anyone knows how I should go about this, I'd much appreciate it.

It's been perhaps a year since I last saw the thing, but I did not miss it since the game was installed on my computer; only now that i've reformatted everything do i actually need it ;(. I've got an online account and everything I just can't install the game and I don't want to go into the whole keygen domain.

You can phone microsoft, be put on hold for 30 mins, be charged $60 for the long phone call adn arguments, pay tax for the shipment of a new cd key, pay your itnerent bills, etc.

 

Or just buy a new game.
