    Subject: Best treaty map?

What is the absolute best treaty map (NR30/NR40+)? The 'best' map should have ample space for walls, and have a good mix of choke points and open space for fighting.

Also, which maps are the most underrated/underused that are good for TR?

And please dont say Andes, the idea is to try something different for a change...

EDIT: Assume civ does not matter, I know some civs are better on some maps than others, but the idea is to know which maps is best based on the overall layout.

there's no 'best' for everyone since everyone will look for maps that give them advantages like tp with cav speed boost bonus

if u want a map full of choke points and almost no tp for any kind of boost, i'd say himalayas, there's tps but far enough that u cant even reach before tr ends. the trees might become an issue though cuz that map has tooooooooooooooons of trees.

well, that's just my opinion, u might wanna try it on skirmish and see how it is

EW_Kingston: I'm going to take ss and report u for putting up more than 4 layers of walls on purpose, they create lag

    fail...

Yellow River is like Orinoco, but with extra crossings.

I like Siberia for its simplicity.

Andes is just a noob map for noob spammers. Playing one map only every game is very pathetic.

Its all about Deccan, Himalayas Upper, or Mongolia !

himalayas (upper), siberia, deccan are fun ones. Silk road can be a bit interesting to, though not many people play it as much

I did not cheat. You're just stupid and can't figure out how to read what the cards do.

its all about the ande's   thats what all the good players use. it is fun now and then to change maps but once and a while yer. i'd hate to be bashing cpt on maps like deccan all the time would get boring fast but then again it would make me look good!!!

I agree, I much prefer playing on maps without the native posts, where you gotta rely on your civilisations own attributes and there's no instaspam, proper countering and army composition is 10x as important when you can't just counter instantly.

The problem is almost everyone uses Andes, it's the "universal map", so I get stuck playing on it.

People play Andes because the training speed improvement makes some civilizations more balanced and the playing experience move convenient. We've played some games recently where the native warriors of Andes have been banned, which we have found to be truly enjoyable. However there are many other maps I personally find very nice, such as Upper Himalayas, Orinoco (in 1v1 or 2v2 without building times), Silk Road et cetera. But Andes has the least weaknesses. Excuse my language.
