    Metis:

In one of the last games I tried to play with members of the "Andes" group, it was re-hosted six times. The reasons were:

    • Water Andes
    • Too many trees
    • TC too close to the map edge
    • One team got a trade route, the other didn't
    • Water Andes
    • Someone picked the wrong deck

After this I just left and did something else.

Why don't you guys just make yourselves a "balanced" map then use it for all your games? Oh yes, I forgot, it would be unrated. We can't have that exalted rank decaying now can we?

get your neck back in we play rated cause it adds mroe to the game if nothign was rated then fair enough , but why play unrated when u can play rated. and only 2 of the reasons u gave for rehosting was valid rest is just lol

Funny you should mention that. I played an NR40 custom map that had everything for treaty, including invisible walls to enforce the half map rule. The map had caves, tons of natives, several trade routes, two sets of water on each end for fish/whales, and almost all of the treasures it seemed like.. Only problem was it was f'n huge and was set up for 4v4. It was a lagfest until a couple players dropped out. It was based on the TWC transcon map if anyone remembers it.

Too bad they usually boot 1st/2nd Lieutenants.. Although I was ticked off at a Major who violated his own NWS/HM rules just because he saw I was not the typical run of the mill noob with Germans.. That incident along with a couple of others really turned me off to playing against high ranks I did not know.

uhhh metis heres a wake up call.  we've been playing the fan patches new balanced andes with no water fixed hunts and set starting postitions, relatively often now. and guess what its unrated. so get off our asses and stop being so god damn jelous of our ranks.

    Frankie_117:

Well, I think I can agree that Deccan is one of the best TR maps..  Plenty of resources, hardly any trees blocking your wall building, plenty of natives and trade routes, plus open space in the middle and choke points everywhere else...

Some other decent TR maps; Painted Desert, Texas, Great Plains, Carolina,..

the time i was a seargent i thought like that too but this time i didnt realy consider to improve all units neither did i use any artellery at all.

Ok i think the treaty map should have balanced stuff like one side is equal to the other side so that there is no reason to break hm and it should have at least 80 k wood for each player I´d say that thats a good number.

This game was hosted by one of the "Andes" bunch, not me. LOL, the only time I re-hosted a game on Andes was when I started it nomad and my covered wagon started on top of one of the mesas.

by balanced i guess you mean not being able to use ottomans india iroqois aztec germans or china.  if your one of the best players to ever play this game and you cant push someone while they still have a army up thats kinda sad.  and oooooooooo 4 rehosts, which is a once a month experience. i can honestly say that i havent had to rehost because of water in a few weeks, and andes is the only map i play....

basically until you can use a civ other than sioux against captains dont complain about andes

LoL. so instant units for all = balanced? right...

Duh noob, its called mortars right? or just instant spam all over to overwhelm to push?

and when i havent played for a few months and the 1st game i try to play needs to be rehosts 4 times, thats a real killer on me ever wanting to play again.

whos talking about civs? why dont u play sioux too? o ya thats right, u cant...  especially since they just got nerfed again

but its cool, i dont really care what u and alan say. your both douche bag noobs who can only try to bring ppl down to their low level of play and understanding. just keep playing your 3v3 andes, same euro civs, same ppl every game. i dont really care anymore cause i aint gonna join ya ever again.

civs i can play. ottomans india germans china iro ports spain

    civs you can play. sioux

the units on andes arent instant it just means that the civ with the strongest units. (spain sioux) arent going to win every single fight like on other maps.

omg you had to rehost a few games, thats terrrrrrible

and on you getting really pissed off.  dont expect us not to tear huge holes in how you play if you come after ours...

and instant units = unbalanced for every single civ.

dont worry alan, if u left 0 ppl would ever want u to come back
