    Double mercenaries are not offensive units. They were trained to protect artillery batteries from cavalry charges excluding lancers of course.

    Unless you're cdtsg123456 and like to lose, don't use 125 coin units as your main force.

    yea listen to this guy! i mean i might be the top german player atm and i use doppels and uhlans as my main army.........dude your rediculous

    they might win the first fight or something, but once doppels get carded ect they are going to start winning.  plus im pretty sure they build faster and can just overwhelm the aztec player. and at worst theyre going to break even at that point in which the german will outlast the azzie easily.

    1) Depends on if you use solingen steel. Even then, when jags are fully carded and on war dance I think they do 54 damage x3 for a 162 (around 130 i believe with resistance).  Jags have equal hand resistance I think.  So lets say the dopps have 60 attack (I think they can't get even much higher than that without team cards, but correct me if I'm wrong).  Then they do 48 damage to a maximum of 3 jags for a cap total of 144.  Even with a 1 to 1 pop ratio, jags come close to beating dopps.  Now factor in the dopps being 2 pop, and it's kind of a massacre.
    I've had this happen in a game, and those were the results.  Absolute massacre. 

     

    2) Depends on the map, but generally, they spawn at a similar rate if you factor in the fertility dance .  In regards to the whole outlasting thing, you are correct, and germans destroy aztecs head up.

    Actually that was taken into account, let me make it clearer for the less mentally gifted among us.

    1. Dopplesoldner is 2 population and has an attack of 46.

    2. Jaguar is 1 population.

    3. Jaguar has a 3x bonus against heavy infantry for a total of ~150.

    4. Splash damage is limited by the damage cap, which is usually 2 x base damage but this is only the maximum, the average is much less.

    I just tested 10 Dopps versus 10 Jags in the Scenario Editor -- Jags won hands down.

    If jags are only 1 pop...you would actually need 20 :p

    Although cost wise that wouldnt be even...you use fire pit aswell? all fully upgraded?

    Whats the train time difference between JK and dopps, without the firepit?  Don't the jaggs time beat the dopps with fert dance?

    maybe if u waste 15 vills on fert dance  but why would u do that.? the fact is german beat aztecsdepending on the skill level
