Hi I just installed Age of Empires I and its expansion . The installation went fine
but when I go to play the game a box comes up saying "Could not initalize
graphics system. Make sure your video card and driver are compatible with
DirectDraw"

As I checked online this seems to be a common problem but I cannot find the solution. Does anyone got any idea where should I check for a solution? (or knows the solution)

I does not seem like the age 3 support can help at this :(. Look at their answer: 

I do not believe that age of empires 1 can be run on Windows Vista.

So there may only be gamers that may got any idea of what is the problem with it not running

Age 3 support lies, I can run it on a vista.

then can you please tell me what is the way to make the program understand that it can work on vista?

(I tried the same disk on my friend's XP laptop and it works fine so it is the vista)
