Re: The paradox of rank (discussion for all players PR 31+)
I am no longer pr 31+. didnt play for 2 months on that account and now have lost some games. However. Do you guys (proton) ever play any map besides Andes? Fact is alot of captains play alot of regualr maps and will play high ranks if the game isnt just decided on what team controls the natives . Used to be all the good players couldnt play without fir trade on their team. Now they cant play without spamm fest andes map or natives. I will play any game or map (like your team owned me the other day) but if you all opened up your game some then you might get more games or people to play. Believe it or not, not all people like to play just andes map.
Also if you wanna play verse captains and you are clearly a good player, you may have to give the underranked team a civ advantage to wanna play, it suks but a game is a game. However most games i play with your clan or friends and they are clearly better then other team they still have to have either equal or better civ match up. If your skill is clearly better then others like mine, then they dont wanna be beat by civ as well. Just saying if you want to have more games and have captains play since that is wat there is most of you; you and your team will have to open up a little and maybe not play same civs or same map every time.

Re: The paradox of rank (discussion for all players PR 31+)
been there done that... everybody knows i HATE (with extreme passion) the andes map. But what alternative is there... Deccan or Orinoco? look on eso right now... 9 treaty games... 2 andes... 6 orinoco and 1 deccan... WUT?!? And as far as giving advantage I let THEM choose my civ and let them play whatever civ they want... so that cant be the solution... in fact all noobs say the same thing.. "you guys are good with whatever civ you choose" Again.. ask around... i rarely lame the same civ over and over... i play different civs each time i play... i just think its like alan said where basically this game is dieing... and the noobs here dont understand rank anymore... i mean what happened to the days of being honored to face a higher rank... when i was captain i used to have to beg my way into high rank games because when ur lower you have nothing to loose... if you win you get points... if you loose to somebody higher then you, you really dont have to many taken away

Re: The paradox of rank (discussion for all players PR 31+)
I am certainly not 31+ and probably never will be...but I would love it if I could log in and play some higher ranks and then have them actually teach me what I was doing wrong...maybe even some coaching along the way. It would also be great to play with a high ranked team mate against another high rank and maybe someone of my rank (1st lt). Contrary to what you guys have said, every time I try something like that I get kicked out and they say I am too low ranked. Proton, don't know if you care or would be interested...but you and another high ranker could hold some training sessions. Maybe post on here that you'll be online at a certain time, you create a game with a specific name, and some people can come and join. If anything, you might get improved players to go against. This could be tough with time-zone diffs though :-(. If you don't want training sessions for noobs, then maybe you can start some thread posting when you'll be online and higher ranked players can all try to coordinate (maybe there is something already like that, dunno).
ESO: Cleaner666 Treaty Rank: 1st Lieut

prob. have a better time joining an active clan that takes the time to train its members... talk to the dudes at GnRE... they might let you try out... here in the wutang we are like cannibals.. the weak are eventually eaten..
