    AOE 1 had some really serious issues like the population one (pop limit 50). And Hopelites/Phalanx were OP. Swordmen had no chance to defeat them. And Egyptian Priest were very very dangerous. :-(

    AOE1 was hard as ***!!

    I've played GS a few times recently on aoe2.  I like the Vikings, the Turks, Byzantines, and Goths.  Goths are awesome, what are you guys talking about.  Cheap infantry, and incredibly strong barracks in the late-game.  Huskarls are awesome.

    Favorites are the Byzantines and the English.

    I do not play the Aztecs, and not a fan of the Mayans either.

    Favs: Brit, Vikings, Japs, China

    Worse: Gauls, Huns, Monguls, Persia

     I am not a Cavalry fan; yes i know it's use and that it is good; it's just not how i play. but i use it as support. I am big into Archers (Brits and China) and a strong Infantry (Japs). if i'm on the sea then Vikings bar non. Each of these nations can play with a strong infantry with strong archer support (Brits with Pikes protecting the Archers).

    Huns, Monguls, and Persia i am bad with; just too much cavalry. Gauls just have no real deffence and though they are insane fast with infantry they just take huge losses and that is a drain on the economy.

    My best civ is Corea, I like to turtle up until I got the catapults fully upgraded, backed them up with hand cannoneers, and then trampled everything on my path.

    My worst civ was maya, I simply couldn't understand how they worked,

    Mayans, saracens, franks and celts FTW.  Disliked Persians, Teutons, and brits.  Like 50 range on those brit longbow?  I forget how freakishly far it was
