    Subject: how the truck do you use india( not boom)

    i get frequently 2000-2300 with india on nr40, but as soon as battle starts i have no idea what to do

    my starting army is all tigers, 3 eles, mansabdar gurkhas and sepoys, 24 sepoy, 3 mahouts, and rest gurkha

    but what the heck do you do when they have cannons behind walls??!(etc.....etc....etc..)

    if they have cannon behind walls, use eles, they rock, send in howdahs cause they own all and dont send in your mansabdar with it cause u want to keep it safe.

     and b4 treaty ends, send the brigade shipment at the consulate for ottos or somin, cause that can really help

    Okay that helped a lot but in this one match against a dutch guy it was almost impossible for me to stop him from pushing into my base(battle started at his base imo)

    so what do i need to do to counteract india's slow training time?

    you need lots of barracks and the map andes.  Also, 23 infinite chakrams definitely help.  Playing off-andes is incredibly difficult with India, and should only be attempted when you're REAL good with the civ.  Remember, mahout/howdah eles train very quickly, so use that to your advantage.

    Map control and countering his units. Map control allows you to make forward buildings and countering, obviously, gives you more units to use in the end.

    It's hard to explain how to gain map control as it's usually gradual, but take a look at some recordings and you'll learn with time and practice.

    i always start with an army with many sepoys and I spam barracks and stables and castles lol the enemy gets pissed off. The units train so slow you must constantly train, so its very hard if you are making ghurka and the enemy suddenly changes to cavalry you are in deep *** so you need many barracks and you have to "micro" them.

    or always do sepoys and ghurkas because sepoy has x3 vs cavalry.

    to continue with this civilization, i must really know, can this civ be oustanding in treaty with the proper practice or are there some civs that will always definitely beat them?
