ioeff you revolt you need to be agressive and attack opponent fast otherwise his eco will just **** yours and he'll upgrade units and beat you easily. So if you revolt just to spam forts anyone can beat you by just booming and making some mortars and army :/

Ok guys, Il tell you why ur plan wont work: u simply dont have nuff pop space for the mortars to be effective AND to have a strong army to protect it if ur by urself (which I pretty much was w/o my allys army supporting me).

I woulda used mortars, but they cost too damn much and if u r encased inside a blockade, with no water to back out with, and ur supplies r dwindling (plus ur factorys cant make stuff as fast as ur getting raided down), what would you do?! you all are the ally who ISN'T surrounded by about 25 forts and you are probably thinking "He got trapped by a buncha forts? Noob." THEY ALSO HAD THIS GIGANTIC ARMY PROTECTING THEIR WAGONS, GOD DAMMIT THEY WERE USING ALL OF THEIR TROOPS OVERPROTECTING THE WAGONS TILL THEY GOT THE FORTS- *pant pant* till they got the forts up, then they used that overprotective army to whittle me down to pieces... of course they also had spys making sure I was out of mines and hunts and such, then they made theis spys kill half my villys. What was left of my army was on the other side of the "Fort Wall" and when it got to the enemys, they got murdured. Oh, did I mention just how darned close they were? If I tried to move any of my villys a few steps out of my walls, they got fort cannonade. If I sent out cavelry to get in and hurt the forts b4 they got pwned, they became the victems of halberd+dragoon spam. If I sent out halberds, they couldn't close in fast nuff to kill the skirms and after killing the skirms couldn't even touch the forts. I then sent out cannon w/o petards, cavelry pwned them.

As you can now see, I was in a pickle of a situation that didn't look like it would get much better, in fact I thought it would get much much worse.So, in a desperate attempt to break out, I build about 30 petards, bought all the mercinarys I could afford, and went on a desperate mission with all my men (settlers and normal gaurds included) and tried {and succeeded} to get out and into fresh resources, and into the open-arms support of my also desperate allies. they weren't desperate for resources, but desperate to get ready for when they finally whittled me down to nothingness.

When I broke out, he gave me about 10,000 in each resource. he then gave me an extra thousand wood to make defences with.

I beleive I have told you enough angry talk to stfu ur angry spamming and flaming at eachother.

If you are having trouble against a revolt when you are in industrial age you might as well uninstall.

Let them Revolt then give them a blockade so they can't ship any good shipments that come with revolt.

You don't get it. it's not that they revolt and then put up a blockade, its that they put up like 25 forts to become a blockade against ur ally coming in and protecting u from semi-constant raids.

...They were pwning my men and I was nearly dead when they put the blockade on me anyway. did you even notice that I was cornered?

Oh, I forgot to mention THEY WERE ALSO WORKING ON A *** TRADE MONOPOLY! Would you be ultimately desperate to get out if you were about to become the victem of trade monopoly?!

Have lots of plantations + a market, then you can buy wood. Simple.

Let them revolt then blockade their homecity.
