so either the Iroquis have a bad economy or i don't know how to use them. i maxed out vills and by the end of a 40 minute treaty had like 20K fewer total recourses then i do when i play with a european or asian civ?! if anyone has a video of a good iro boom i'd appreciate it. because i love their military. forest prowlers and mantelts are awesome.

Search back through the boards.. there are lots of examples.  Iro can have a very good eco.  There is a boom of 3200 or something out there to show the potential (of course, it is not the most practical boom but gives a good idea of how to work the civ in a boom). Otherwise, search for a link from _milky or someone like that.

If I buy all important upgrades add all villager to coin (build only plantations). With getting advanced market card you can easily sell it for wood/food.

Iro eco should always be quite a bit better than a regular euro civ 2800 average for them @ 40. The best thing you could do is to watch a recording a few times over.

    Here is one from milkynoob__

there is also a 3200 one floating around somewhere, its the one i watched to figure out their boom. You could try searching for it.

Make sure you max 99 vills before aging to imperial. Then age with the 20 villager politician to give you 119.  So that helps.  They also have really good cards for gathering food via livestock (fulling mills), so you can get ridiculous amounts of food from cows with not many vills committed to gathering it.  Then you can fur trade to get wtfuxtons of coin, and then continue gathering food from cows to get moar meatz.  This lets you have a full firepit and plenty of vills gathering wood (which is Iro's most crucial resource--get a lot of it).

119 vils? i don't think that would be advantageous. that leaves only 81 pop room for army!

..... why do you think they have a population increase dance at the firepit.... unless you never use it....

how much does it increase pop by? because if it increases pop by only 20 then it would seem pointless to have 20 extra vills just to do that dance

No, you put 25 on firepit and switch from population to train speed to attack reguarly so you can keep out 106 military pop :) Plus even if that wasn't the case you could get the villagers for the 20 minutes until treaty end and then delete them, that's basically what german do normally with their 139 villager pop. So always get to 119 vills, its a good habit because once you are playing good players, your economy will run out fast without that many. And some will die from raids even if you try to protect them anyway.

so pretty much you can't win as Iro without the firepit? sounds like a pain. tell me if you think this is good. what i do is i age up around 15-20 vills. and by the time i age up i got like 700 food. so i put my firepit on faster spawning and put all new vills on either hunting or firepit so i get lots of villagers fast. is this good or bad? or is there a better way.

how many times did they already say to watch a record? if you are not the best there ever was, don't try to make your own boom for the civ that has the hardest booms in the game.
